I fully admit that I am not the most fashion-conscious person. I don't buy any newspapers or magazines (unless a weekly tv guide counts...) and don't spend time trawling the internet to find out what the latest trends are.
The most pertinent reason I don't do any of this is because, in the main at least, 'fashionable' clothes do not suit me. With a classic hourglass shape, I need clothes that define my figure, nip me in at the waist and are flattering across the bust. Many trendy clothes do not do this.

Wonderful Wallis at BHS
I don't often go on shopping sprees in real shops. When I buy clothes, it's usually on the internet as my previous experiences of trying on endless items that don't fit properly in hot, cramped changing rooms are not my idea of fun. However, I recently took a trip to town and had a fab time in the wonderful BHS.
For those of you who don't know, BHS, which stands for British Home Stores, is a reasonably small scale department store but it mainly concentrates on clothing for women, men and children.

Bikini bonanza!
With the gorgeous weather we were enjoying here in the south east of England (and across much of the UK) today, I decided to spend some time lying out in the garden. I got back from a holiday on the Mediterranean two weeks ago so it was definitely time to give my fast-fading tan a bit of a top-up. This has prompted me to write a post on bikinis as I dug one out of the drawer today to wear in my garden.
If you have read my previous posts, you will know all about my struggle to find my 'ideal' bra. This struggle extends to bikinis, which are even more problematic as matching briefs are required. Some of you might think that matching briefs are also a requirement with bras - having recently purchased matching sets in abundance I am now in the position to wholeheartedly agree with you! However, up until a couple of months ago, I was forced to be satisfied with simply finding a comfy, well-fitting bra, and matching briefs were stuff dreams were made of.
