Lady V London: Lady Voluptuous Pink Rose Floral on Cream Phoebe Dress 20 and Japanese Black Floral Phoebe Dress 22/24

Lady Voluptuous, Lady V London's plus size line, is doing great things for full-figured women. The range comprises gorgeous dresses and skirts that are exclusively offered in UK sizes 16-32. The garments flatter the figure and are comfortable and practical to wear. I love how the designs have been made with larger ladies in mind, with realistically sized sleeves and armholes, good boob room, and a range of necklines.

One of the newer dresses to be released is the Phoebe (£55; UK sizes 16-32): a fully lined 1950s inspired dress with a flared skirt and built-in petticoat. It comes in a number of pretty prints but for me I was particularly enamoured with these two:

Lady V London: Lady Voluptuous Blue Butterfly Cosette Dress 16 and Japanese Blue Cosette Dress 18

As a fan of vintage style clothing I was super excited when Lady V London set up their plus size range, Lady Voluptuous. These clothes are made exclusively in UK sizes 16-32 and they are absolutely gorgeous. I am slowly but surely making my way through the collection and hope to review it in its entirety in the fullness of time, but as I am sure you can appreciate this all takes time and to mix things up I am reviewing other items in between.

Today I will be reviewing the Cosette Dress (£50, UK sizes 16-32).

New Look Inspire Jersey Peplum Dress 18

Back in the summer I was looking for a smart dress that I could wear for work; something that was suitable for business meetings, conferences, and interviews. My problem is that business dresses are often made from non-stretchy materials, so I knew I would have to scour around to find something suitable.

When browsing the New Look website, I happened upon the New Look Inspire Jersey Peplum Dress (no longer available online but was £12.99, UK sizes 18-32 (it was also available on the ASOS website)).

BiuBiu Chaville Dress in Green 40 BB/BBB

BiuBiu are a Polish brand who make a variety of clothing for women with curves, and especially busty ladies. I'm a particular fan of their amazing dresses. I've reviewed a number of their items on my blog and today I am going to share with you my thoughts on the Chaville Dress in green (£32.39).

BiuBiu Lauret Dress 40 BB/BBB

Several months ago I ordered a number of items from Polish bust-friendly brand BiuBiu but due to a busy schedule I am only just getting round to reviewing them on the blog now.

Today I am sharing with you my thoughts on the Lauret dress (I bought mine for £28.04 but it's currently available at the reduced price of £23.70).

Marisota Swimwear Infographic

A blog post about swimwear might seem a little unusual at this time of year, but when the team at Marisota recently asked me to share their new infographic with my readers I wanted to do so straight away. Also, I know that I am not alone in considering taking a holiday over the Christmas break, so swimwear is something that we could potentially be purchasing at any time of year.

Marisota's latest infographic - found here - helps customers find swimwear that fits and flatters their figure.

George at Asda Scuba Floral Fit and Flare Dress: Styled Two Ways

As regular readers will know, I am a long-time fan of George at Asda. So when their team contacted me to ask if I'd like to take part in a dress challenge I jumped at the chance.

The challenge was to pick a dress from their current range, and add accessories etc to make it work for both night and day. I didn't have to stick to items available at George, but I decided to do so as it's a great opportunity for me to show you the wide range of items available on the website.

So, my first decision was which dress to choose. George always has such a huge range of dresses on their website so I was absolutely spoilt for choice and it took me quite some time to decide. In the end, I opted for the 'bargainous' Scuba Floral Fit and Flare Dress (£12.00, UK sizes 4-28):

City Chic Wild Floral Dress and Wild Crane Dress 14/XS (US)

Here in the UK, we have quite a range of plus-size fashion brands to choose from. The biggest and perhaps most well-known include Evans, Pink Clove, Asos Curve, Yours Clothing, New Look Inspire, Collectif, Curvissa, Boohoo Plus, Simply Be, Forever 21+, and Taking Shape. However, if you're looking for an even broader range of choice for clothing for larger ladies, you might want to cast your net a little further and look across the pond to the USA. In America, women seem to be spoilt for plus-size choices, with brands such as Pinup Girl ClothingTorrid, IGIGI, Ashley Stewart, One Stop Plus, Lane Bryant, and Avenue really leading the way and providing an incredibly wide range of style choices. Most recently, super-cool plus-size brand City Chic, originally founded in South Africa but perhaps better known for its stores in Australia, opened its first store in the US.

(I am keeping my fingers VERY tightly crossed that all of these brands will soon be coming over here to the UK, but in the meantime I am often tempted by the gorgeous threads available from these overseas retailers.)

A few months ago, I saw the stunning Chastity from Garner Style showing off a dress from City Chic; it was the Wild Floral Dress (US sizes 14/XS-24/XXL, $138.00):

Pink Clove Bold Bloom Skater Dress 18

I've got a real love for floral dresses so I'm absolutely delighted that they're all the rage at the moment. What could be better than a dress emblazoned with flowers in an array of gorgeous colours? Some might say leopard print, or polka dots, or stripes, or aztec print, and so on...I love all of those too, but florals more often that not are the prints that really jump out at me.

I've reviewed a number of plus size clothing brand Pink Clove's items over the past few months on my blog; some of which I've purchased myself and some of which I've been sent by the lovely PR team. Today's review is of a dress I bought myself - and I'm very glad I managed to snap this one up as it's now, sadly, out of stock.

The dress I'm reviewing today is the Pink Clove Bold Bloom Skater Dress (£26, UK sizes 16-32).

Collectif Dolores Doll White/Black Polka Dot Dress 12

Like many women, I am a huge fan of polka dots, so any time I see a piece of clothing with a polka dot print I am sorely tempted to buy it.

I've already reviewed the Collectif Dolores Doll Red Polka Dress here, and have had the Black Polka in my wardrobe for quite some time. I was absolutely gutted that I missed out on the version with a blue background and red spots a few years ago, but last summer I was excited to see that Collectif had brought out a new colourway: the Dolores Doll White Polka Dress (£50, UK size 6-22).

I was so excited to see last year that Collectif had brought out a few new prints in their fabulous Dolores Doll dress. I hear there are many more lovely prints to come this year, but for the time being I am pleased to show you one of the designs I picked up last year.

It's the gorgeous Dolores Doll Yellow Summer Bouquet Print Dress (£65, UK sizes 6-22).

The Perfect Cami

I have always had a problem with finding dresses and tops with sufficient boob room for my big breasts. So many items would look lovely if only they had more coverage over my chest. It's not a good look to have one's bra showing but in order to make sure this did not happen I have previously had to opt for high necklines, which I am not a great fan of, or sizing up to fit my boobs, meaning that the fit elsewhere was oversized and baggy.

Fairly early on in my boob-clothing journey I found that I could wear a thin vest underneath tops and dresses to cover my modesty. However, this meant wearing an extra layer and in warmer months or in centrally heated environments this could be pretty uncomfortable. It also changes the appearance of clothing as the neckline looks very different but at least it meant I didn't have to settle for poorly fitting clothing any more.

Ebay Jersey Pencil Dress 14

If you're a regular reader of my blog you will be well aware of my ongoing quest to find dresses to fit my figure. It's not easy as I am different sizes on each of my bust, waist, and hips, but I am always willing to try something different or unusual on the off-chance that it might work for me.

Last summer I was trawling online auction site eBay and I came across this gem: the eBay Jersey Pencil Dress (£9.99 plus postage, UK sizes 8-18/M-XXL).

Collectif Dolores Sweetheart Gingham Doll Dress 14 Large

Last year I managed to snap up a few new Dolores Doll dresses from vintage repro retailer Collectif. I love the cut of the Dolores Doll as it suits my hourglass figure very well indeed.

Gingham has always been a favourite print of mine so you can imagine my excitement when Collectif brought out the Dolores Sweetheart Gingham Doll Dress (£65, UK sizes 6-24):

Pink Clove Geo Print Wrap Dress 16 and Blue Wrap Dress 18

Late last year I placed an order with plus size fashion brand Pink Clove. Some of the items were a hit and some were a miss for me, and today I am going to show you what a difference one size up or down can make.

The two dresses in question are the Pink Clove Geo Print Wrap Dress (was £18.00, now just £10.00; UK sizes 16-32) and the Pink Clove Blue Wrap Dress (was £18.00, now just £10.80; UK sizes 16-32).

George at Asda Rose Print Midi Dress 14

A few weeks before Christmas I was in my local Asda Living store and whilst in the queue to pay for my G21 Animal Print Bodycon Dress my attention was drawn towards the changing rooms and this lovely dress caught my eye as it hung on the rail of try-ons. It was the George at Asda Rose Print Midi Dress (£10, UK sizes 8-20):

BiuBiu Monaco Dress 42 BB/BBB

Late last year, Polish bust friendly brand BiuBiu released some new items. There were dresses, tops, and even coats amongst the offerings. I resisted for a while but as Christmas drew closer I could no longer hold back and ended up placing an order myself. Over the next few weeks I will share these items with you; today I am going to start with the BiuBiu Monaco Dress (£34.57, sizes 34-46 B/BB and BB/BBB).

Boxing Day OOTD: George at Asda Jacquard Skater Dress 14

Boxing Day, St Stephen's Day, 26th December...whatever you call it, it's the day after Christmas and it happens to be my birthday. This year I spent the day at my brother's (as I did on Christmas Day) and again I was looking for an outfit that was versatile enough to be comfortable and stylish.

I opted for the George at Asda Jacquard Skater Dress (£14, UK sizes 8-24 (now sold out)).
