Bravissimo Lola Luxe Basque in Blackberry 36K and Thong XL

Early last year I bought the Bravissimo Lola Luxe Basque in Black/Teal from a friend and reviewed it on my blog. Although the fit was not completely perfect it's a set I am glad to have as it's very pretty and is perfect for those special bedroom occasions.

Last month I was looking on the Bravissimo website to see if there was anything I could review and my search brought me to the Lola Luxe Basque in Blackberry (was £50.00, now reduced to £40.00; UK sizes 30-38 F-K (limited availability)).

My quest for a sleep bra: Ewa Michalak Nina Top 34KK/75KK

I can't believe it has been two years since I last blogged about my quest to find a sleep bra. If you're not already familiar with my mission, allow me to explain what I'm talking about. 

I long for a bra/top that is comfortable enough to wear in bed at night, but that is also supportive enough to wear around the house during the day. When I am at home for the day I usually wear a t-shirt or casual top and pyjama bottoms, and go without a bra. Most times, this is perfectly comfortable for me, but there are instances when I wish I had something soft and supportive to wear to help keep my breasts in check. I have tried a number of options since starting my blog, including sports bras, non-wired bras, and even nursing bras (NB: If you'd like to read my previous reviews they are listed at the end of this post). A few have come close to meeting my requirements but I haven't yet managed to discover the holy grail.

I was therefore super excited when I saw that Polish lingerie brand Ewa Michalak were bringing out their own version of a sleep/house bra: the Nina Top.

My quest for a sleep bra: Royce Jasmine Nursing Bra

It's been quite some time since I tried a new bra as part of my quest to find a sleep/house bra.  Essentially, I am looking for a bra that is comfortable enough to wear around the house and sleep in if I wish.  In my cup size (KK/L) this has proven almost impossible to find, particularly with the fact that a non-wired bra would be my preference as I find it terribly uncomfortable to sleep in a wired bra.

Some months ago, I visited Leia Lingerie at Bluewater with Georgina from Fuller Figure Fuller Bust.  We received excellent service from store manager Leigh and our fitter Annie and they were aware of my search for a sleep bra.  They suggested I try a nursing bra from Royce called the Jasmine.

My quest for a sleep bra: Bravissimo Inspire Sports Bra in Black

For a long time, I have been looking for a sleep bra.  My definition of a sleep bra is one which is comfortable enough to wear in bed (every night if wished) and also around the house during the evenings and at weekends.

So far, I have only tried non-wired bras in my quest.  I have tried soft cup bras, sports bras, maternity bras and even a nursing bra, but nothing yet has quite hit the spot.  I have stumbled every time, with the main reason being that I don't get separation of my breasts in non-wired bras.  This has lead me to wonder if I might be able to find a wired bra which would be comfortable enough to sleep in.

Now, my Ewa Michalak bras are super comfortable.  I wear them each and every day and it's a pleasure to do so.  Rarely do they dig in, rub or give me any kind of pain or discomfort so they would be ideal to wear in bed as well.  But, as I wear them every day, I think it would be unhealthy to wear them at night as well so I am on the lookout for an underwired sleep/house bra, as well as a non-wired one.

A few weeks ago, I tried the Bravissimo Inspire Sports Bra in black.

My quest for a sleep bra: Royce Sadie

I have reviewed the Royce Sadie in one of my earlier posts but wanted to try it again in a smaller band and bigger cups.  I found this bra available on Bravissimo, which is a great place to find large cup bras.

My quest for a sleep bra: Royce Charlotte

The Royce Charlotte is another soft cup bra which I reviewed back in the early days of my blog.  I tried it in a 36H but found it to be completely unsuitable for me.


The Charlotte is available on Bravissimo in sizes 28DD-J and 30-40DD-K (also available in a nursing bra).  It's a great selection of sizes and the promotional picture suggests good support and shape.

My quest for a sleep bra: Royce Impact Free Sports Bra in Grey Marl

My search to find a bra to wear around the house and at night in bed continues.  I have come close a few times but still not found anything I am completely happy with - even nearly happy with, in fact.


I decided to give the Royce Impact Free Sports Bra a try as I saw it on Bravissimo and it looked like it might work for me.

My quest for a sleep bra: Triumph Doreen

Having already exhausted many of the non-wired bra options in my size, the one I really wanted to try was the Triumph Doreen.  It's a classic bra which is often associated with older ladies but I have long wondered if it would be comfortable and supportive enough for my large breasts as a sleep/house bra.

My quest for a sleep bra: Emma Jane Maternity Bra

Regular readers of my blog will know about my ongoing mission to find a bra which is comfortable and supportive to wear at night and around the house.  It's not an easy task as I need bras with deep but fairly narrow cups and this is very hard to find in wired bras, let alone non-wired ones.


The latest bra I tried is the Emma Jane maternity bra 430 in 34K.  I bought it from eBay here.  It's worth noting that this particular style is no longer available on the Emma Jane site so I guess it's a discontinued style but there are various similar bras on offer instead.

My quest for a sleep bra: Panache Sophie Support Bra

I have written before about my ongoing search for a 'sleep' bra - a bra I can wear in bed to support my heavy breasts.  It'd also be something I could wear around the house for support and comfort.

I recently read this excellent blog review of the Panache Sophie Support bra and was so impressed that I jumped onto eBay and bought one to try for myself.
