Elomi arrives at Debenhams

Fantastic news, lingerie fans!  

Plus-sized lingerie brand Elomi have joined forces with high street giants Debenhams in order for their ranges to be sold in selected stores as well as online.  This decision was taken following customer research which revealed that the majority of plus-sized women do all their clothes/lingerie shopping online.  On top of this, many believed that fashionable lingerie sets are not available in larger sizes.  (Interestingly, just today I was having a conversation with a friend on Twitter about Elomi and said friend wasn't aware that they had such a wide range of sizes available!)

Eveden AW2012 Press Launch

I was recently fortunate enough to be invited to the Eveden Autumn/Winter 2012 press launch in London.  For those of you who don't know, Eveden is the group who owns several large lingerie brands including Freya, Fantasie, Fauve, Huit, Elomi and Goddess.  Naturally, I was absolutely thrilled to be invited and took the opportunity to meet up with some of my gorgeous blogging buddies along the way, including Georgina, Mhairi, Rosie, Kitty and Sophia.

Coming Soon - "Plus North" Bloggers' Meet!

Back in February I was fortunate enough to be able to attend a fab bloggers' event called Plus London Two.  It was a great chance for bloggers - especially plus sized - to get together, try on some amazing clothes and lingerie, hob nob and generally have fun.  It was a great event and even though the weather was bad we all had a fantastic time.

In the days to follow, talk turned to plans for a similar event in the north of the country, so that those who had been unable to get to London might be able to attend.  And so Plus North was born!

Plus London Two

A few weeks ago, I was fortunate enough to attend an event in London for bloggers called Plus London Two.  As the name suggests, this is the second such event, with the first being held last year before my blog had been born.


I went along with my friends Mhairi and Kathryn who I had met up with earlier at Anna Scholz's studio.  Both ladies had to first of all take part in the fashion show so while they went to prepare I had time to talk to some of the other bloggers and sponsors at the event, including the always gorgeous Charlotte from Simply Be, Wendy who provided the cupcakes enjoyed by us all (one of which ended up being my lunch for the day (at 8.30pm!) - and very delicious it was too), and several others.

I am a very lucky girl.  Over the past few weeks I have got to meet some fabulous people and gone on some terrific adventures, all thanks to my lil' ol' blog.  Who'd have thought it.


One of my favourite adventures is the day I went to Anna Scholz's studio in London and tried on lots of her lovely designs.  It was all down to the Plus London Two organisers - huge thanks to them for organising this - who arranged for us to go to Anna's studio on the afternoon of the main meet, which was held in the evening.

Bangers for Breakfast? Gok Wan for Simply Yours shapewear press launch

Several weeks ago, I had a wonderful surprise thanks to my lovely blogging friends Georgina and Cheryl: an invite to the press launch of Gok Wan's spring/summer 2012 shapewear for Simply Yours.  They had both been kind enough to pass my details on to the PR company organising the event (Chase PR) so one morning I got up VERY early and headed off on a train to London Victoria.

I met up with Georgina and fellow bloggers Becky and Laura at the station and the four of us travelled in style in a black cab to the W Hotel in Leicester Square.  We were met in the 'E Wow Suite' by the gorgeous Sheena from the PR company, who welcomed us and organised some much needed hot/cold drinks for us.  We then met up with many other bloggers and enjoyed our sumptuous surroundings, which included fibre-optic curtains and a revolving sofa!
