Anna Scholz for Simply Be Contrast Pencil Skirt

Ever since I got to try on an array of gorgeous dresses at Anna Scholz's London HQ during Plus London Two, I have been keen to add some of her pieces to my wardrobe.  I mean, how can a girl resist beauties such as these...

Swan by Clements Ribeiro Autumn 2012 Collection at Evans

I was recently lucky enough to attend the press launch of the Autumn 2012 collection of Swan by Clements Ribeiro for Evans.  It was held in London and I was delighted to be in the company of fellow bloggers including Hanna, Bethany, NaomiAmy and Joanna.

Having never been to an Evans event before I was excited to meet their PR team and see what the collection was like.

The event was held in the press room of Arcadia's London office - a lovely venue which not only had Evans Clements Ribeiro items on display but also a few from Wallis, Dorothy Perkins and Miss Selfridge as well.

Dyeing the George at Asda Moda Printed Jersey Dress

A little while ago I wrote a review of the gorgeous Moda Printed Jersey Dress from George at Asda.  I LOVE that dress - it works perfectly for me because it is made from stretch fabric and hugs my curves in all the right places.

Simply Be Glamorosa Dress in Very Voluptuous

I have got lots of different dress reviews on my blog - from maxi dresses to fitted dresses and flared dresses.  But all of these dresses have something in common: they are all made from either jersey or viscose/elastane, which are both very thin fabrics.  With the cooler months heading towards us at top speed, I have been turning my attention to items available in thicker fabrics which are more suitable for cooler temperatures.

Thankfully, Simply Be have released their clothing and footwear collections for Autumn/Winter 2012.  And what a lot of beautiful items they have for us all!

Ewa Michalak CHP Kurczak

I must admit that I have never in my life felt the need to own a yellow bra. When they started appearing in shops and online a few months ago my mind was not changed and although they were eye-catching I still did not have a great desire to have one in my possession.I was recently sent several bras by Ewa Michalak to try out and lo and behold one of these was their own yellow creation: the CHP Kurczak, which means 'Chicken' in Polish.

Eveden AW2012 Press Launch

I was recently fortunate enough to be invited to the Eveden Autumn/Winter 2012 press launch in London.  For those of you who don't know, Eveden is the group who owns several large lingerie brands including Freya, Fantasie, Fauve, Huit, Elomi and Goddess.  Naturally, I was absolutely thrilled to be invited and took the opportunity to meet up with some of my gorgeous blogging buddies along the way, including Georgina, Mhairi, Rosie, Kitty and Sophia.

I love to shrug!

I have long been a fan of the humble shrug (sometimes called a bolero).  It can completely transform an new outfit or give an old favourite a completely new look.  Over the years I have worn all sorts of different styles, from ones that tie under the bust, to ones with buttons, wrap-arounds and zips.

However, a while ago I found myself in a position with no shrugs at all in my wardrobe.  I am not entirely sure how this happened - I know I sent a lot of things to charity last year but I hadn't realised I had got rid of them all.

The bra that changed my life

The wonderful Kitty Lingerista at Undercover Lingerista is celebrating her 1 year bloggiversary by running an amazing competition on her blog.  She is asking people to write about the bra that changed their life; this is my entry.

Like many women, I spent most of my life wearing the wrong size bra.  Until very recently I hadn't had a proper fitting and, although I never used the ridiculous '+4' method to calculate my size, I know I have been wearing far too big a band for the majority of my boobified years.

I have been large-breasted since my teens and used to order bras from my mum's 'Great Universal' mail order catalogue.  Unfortunately I was limited to boring white bras as that's all that was available in my size but nonetheless I would pore over the lingerie pages wishing I could make those pretty coloured sets work for me.

Bravissimo Boudoir Beau Bra

Bravissimo have a wide range of own brand bras available on their website.  Almost a year ago I visited their store in Ealing and tried on several styles and sizes but could not find anything that really suited me.  I have now realised that this is probably because I was going for too big a band - my Ewa Michalaks have helped me become accustomed to a firmer band and now I find I am sizing down time and again.

I recently placed an order with Bravissimo for several bras and one of them was the very foxy Boudoir Beau in red/graphite.
