Ewa Michalak Babydoll For You! 32KK 70KK

Quite a few months ago I was sent a parcel from the wonderful Ewa Michalak. This parcel contained a wealth of lingerie goodies that I was itching to share with you, but unfortunately real life got in the way and as explained here I was forced to take a few months' break from blogging. So this post is long overdue and comes with huge apologies to Ewa and her team.

Possibly the most exciting item this wondrous parcel contained was the Ewa Michalak Babydoll For You!

Bravissimo Lola Luxe Basque in Black/Teal 32K and Briefs XL

I am always on the look-out for lingerie other than bras and knickers. In the J+ cup size range there are sadly very few options available so when something comes up I am always incredibly keen to give it a try.

A few months ago a friend of mine sold me her nearly new Bravissimo Lola Luxe Basque in Black/Teal (sells new for £50.00 in sizes 28 DD-J and 30-38 DD-K) with brand new matching briefs and thong. I had checked the item on the Bravissimo website and had fallen head over heels in love with its design and colours:

Curvy Kate Lola Babydoll 32K and Thong 20

For many years, women above a G cup have had very few lingerie choices.  We've had to count ourselves lucky that lingerie brands finally clocked on to the fact that we'd like bras in colours other than just black, white and nude, and some savvy companies even gave us choices in bra style.  Yes, we're so fortunate to not just have to stick to full cup bras, but many of us can now also choose from plunges, half cups, balconettes and even multiway and strapless bras.  Lucky us!

Forgive my flippancy...but sometimes it feels like those of us with larger boobs have to be grateful for these things and not ask for more.  Don't get me wrong; I am incredibly grateful to brands such as Ewa Michalak and Bravissimo for really pushing the boundaries with bra styles in larger cups.  But what has been missing for so long are options beyond this.  We want longlines, we want bustieres, we want basques, we want bra-sized nightwear and we want babydolls.

That last 'want' in my list is one that has been addressed by several brands in the past year or so.  Plus size lingerie brand Elomi brought out the Betty babydoll, but the largest cup available was an H.  Fortunately, this has been followed in recent months by other brands bringing out their own babydolls and large cup lingerie trailblazer Curvy Kate has done just that.

Curvy Kate Portia in Seafoam/Pink

It's hard to believe that popular British lingerie brand Curvy Kate has only been around for about 4 years - they've done so much in such a short space of time that it seems they've been in business for decades.

Constantly working to improve lingerie and swimwear options for ladies with a larger bust, Curvy Kate brings out a range of new delights for us to enjoy every six months or so.  The range for Spring/Summer 2013 is nothing short of gorgeous and I was absolutely thrilled when the Curvy Kate team asked me to try the Portia in Seafoam/Pink.

Ewa Michalak PL Milady 30L/65L and Briefs 16/44

I have not written a lingerie review for a little while.  The reason for this is that for a time I did not have any new lingerie, nor had I tried anything on, so there was nothing to write about.  However, I'm delighted to report that I have had several deliveries of gorgeous new lingerie arrive within days of each other so you can expect quite a few blog posts about it over the coming weeks!

It's been a few months since I last wrote an Ewa Michalak review.  Fortunately, one of my recent lingerie deliveries was a selection of EM items to try, including this beauty: the Ewa Michalak PL Milady:

Ewa Michalak PL Malwa

I hadn't owned a plain white bra for many a year until a few months ago when I got to try the Freya Lauren in white.  It's a very nice bra but it's a bit too high cut on me and my short shoulders to wear under most of my tops and dresses so when Ewa Michalak recently agreed to send me some bras for review I knew the PL Malwa had to be one of them.

Ewa Michalak PL Carmen

For a while now, I have been finding that my 36J/HH and 34J Ewa Michalak bras have been feeling too loose in the band.  This has made me sad because I love these bras so much...but wearing a bra with too loose a band is no good, regardless of how pretty it may be.  *Sob*

You can imagine my delight when Ewa very kindly agreed to send me some new bras to review.  I was thrilled to be able to try one of the bras I have lusted after for some time now: the PL Carmen.

Ewa Michalak PL Lato

Wow, it's been quite some time since I last wrote a review on Ewa Michalak lingerie.  I've missed it!  Truth is, I ended up with quite a stash of lovely lingerie and couldn't afford to buy more.  Also, I came to a point where I owned and had reviewed most of the latest collections so I had taken things as far as I could at that point.

The great news is that over the past couple of months, Ewa has released yet more stunningly beautiful collections and I was really thrilled when I received the gorgeous PL Lato to review.
