Simply Be Viva La Diva Pewter Shoes EEE Fit

Shoes.  I love them.  I hate them.  They give me pleasure.  They give me pain.  My troublesome feet make it very difficult for me to find shoes that are comfortable but stylish so I'm always trying different options in the hope that I'll find something that works for me.

I recently placed a reasonably large footwear order with Simply Be.  Amongst the items I ordered were the Viva La Diva Pewter Shoes EEE Fit:

Simply Be WOW Peplum Illusion Dress

What do you think about peplums?  My opinion varies, depending on who is wearing it and how.  For example, one of the local weather presenters on tv sometimes wears them and they look awful on her.  She is fairly tall and has a long torso but wears regular sized dresses (as opposed to those specifically for tall people) so they just don't sit in the right place on her.

I have never tried on a peplum skirt or dress myself.  I have been told that the purpose of a peplum is to highlight one's waist and/or hips...well, I am lucky enough to have been blessed with a figure that does just that all by itself, without the addition of a frill on my clothing.  But I have also been told that a peplum would look amazing on me so it's something I have wanted to try, merely out of curiosity.

Esty Lingerie - blog, forum, competition and Flirty Thirtys!

Have you heard of Esty Lingerie before?  They are an online lingerie boutique specialising in independent designers.  I have been following them on Facebook and Twitter for a while now and am always excited by their posts and updates.

They have their own gorgeous lingerie collection which is handmade in the UK, as well as stocking other brands. All in all, they have some very beautiful and appealing items on offer.  For me personally, I am sad that they don't have any bras in my size...but there are plenty of other things available to keep me happy, including basques, corsets, bodystockings, hosiery and swimwear.

"Plus North" Bloggers' Meet

On Saturday 7th July 2012 more than 130 attendees gathered at Aspire Leeds for the greatest event in 2012 - Plus North! It was the brainchild of gorgeous girlies Becky and Toni, with assistance from the ever wonderful Mhairi.

Freya Lingerie's Search For A Blog Star!

Coming Soon - "Plus North" Bloggers' Meet!

Back in February I was fortunate enough to be able to attend a fab bloggers' event called Plus London Two.  It was a great chance for bloggers - especially plus sized - to get together, try on some amazing clothes and lingerie, hob nob and generally have fun.  It was a great event and even though the weather was bad we all had a fantastic time.

In the days to follow, talk turned to plans for a similar event in the north of the country, so that those who had been unable to get to London might be able to attend.  And so Plus North was born!
