Curvissa Tamaris Leather Platform Court Shoes

Before Christmas, I was contacted by the team at Curvissa to see if there was anything I wanted to try from their Spring 2013 collection.  I picked out some shoes and then completely forgot all about them as I didn't hear back for quite some time.

A few weeks ago, I had a mystery package arrive.  I love it when that happens - something unexpected arrives and it's really exciting opening the box and finding out what it contains.

George at Asda Moda Lace Print Dress

Very recently I posted about the lovely George at Asda Moda Floral Jersey Wrap Dress.  It's a shape I love as it nips in at the waist but is also generously sized over my voluptuous boobs and hips.  The result is a great look for hourglass figures in particular, but the dress would also work for pears and other 'typical' body shapes.

I also have this dress in the original Moda Printed Jersey Dress, and even dyed several to give myself more wardrobe options.

I could hardly believe my eyes when I saw that George at Asda had brought out yet another variation of this dress shape - the Moda Lace Print Dress in burgundy and black.

M & Co Dresses: Summer 2012

Ok ok...so it's rather late in the season to be posting 'summer' dress reviews.  But I wanted to share these with you as examples of some of the great things high street and online retailer M & Co have on offer.

I visited the Tenterden store a little while ago and received excellent customer service from Charlotte who was looking after the changing rooms at the time.  She was sweet and helpful and even paid me compliments on the dresses I was trying on, bless her!

I tried on a variety of dresses, none of which are available on the website any more so I am afraid I can't link to them.

Dyeing the George at Asda Moda Printed Jersey Dress

A little while ago I wrote a review of the gorgeous Moda Printed Jersey Dress from George at Asda.  I LOVE that dress - it works perfectly for me because it is made from stretch fabric and hugs my curves in all the right places.

Hurray for Hobbs!

I recently needed to find a posh frock for a fancy evening do for work.  Where would you go if you needed such a dress?  I had very few ideas so asked friends on Facebook, who came up with all sorts of suggestions.  One lady, however, suggested the online and high street retailer Hobbs.  I wasn't overly familiar with the brand but a quick skim through their website told me that they stocked quality items for all sorts of occasions.

I duly took myself off to the Bluewater store and was treated like royalty by assistant Marcia and manager Mo. The Hobbs ladies really cater for their customers' every need and are willing to offer advice and styling suggestions as well as having a very thorough knowledge of their ranges. Superb!

Eliza Parker Portofino by Day Dress

I had never heard of American plus size clothing brand Eliza Parker until I read a review of the Monaco dress by the amazing Mhairi at Lilybobomb's Lovely Lumps.  She made the dress look absolutely stunning and I was most envious!

Recently I was on the lookout for something special to wear for a posh work do and I was over the moon when Jessica, the founder of Eliza Parker, was kind enough to offer me a dress of my choice to see if it would be suitable.

It was so hard to choose from all the gorgeous numbers on offer but after a couple of choices ended up being out of stock I settled on the Portofino by Day dress in Teal.

I love to shrug!

I have long been a fan of the humble shrug (sometimes called a bolero).  It can completely transform an new outfit or give an old favourite a completely new look.  Over the years I have worn all sorts of different styles, from ones that tie under the bust, to ones with buttons, wrap-arounds and zips.

However, a while ago I found myself in a position with no shrugs at all in my wardrobe.  I am not entirely sure how this happened - I know I sent a lot of things to charity last year but I hadn't realised I had got rid of them all.
