Ewa Michalak S Przeplatanki Bra 32LL and 34L

Strappy harness bras have been around for quite some time now, but there are very few full busted brands who have embraced this trend. Thankfully Polish lingerie brand Ewa Michalak is a trailblazer and they brought out their own version late last year: the S Przeplatanki.

Lingerie Solutions: Pambra's - The Original Bra Liner

I am often asked by my readers what can be done to alleviate bra band chafing. This is something I myself have suffered from time to time so it made sense for me to trial some kind of solution and review it on my blog. Of course, the best solution is a correctly fitting bra - see my post here for tips on how to find a bra that fits you properly - but even then there may be days when your bra causes irritation and so it is good to know of a way to deal with this if needs be.

After a bit of digging round on the internet, I discovered Pambra's (no, the apostrophe is not incorrectly placed!). They are touted as 'the original bra liner (since 1988)' and are made by an American company.

Ewa Michalak FB Tęczowe Bra 34KK/75KK

Polish lingerie brand Ewa Michalak recently brought out a new design of bra: the FB style. It's made exclusively for ladies with particularly large busts, going from a band size 32/70 all the way up to (amazingly) 60/140, with UK based cup sizes - band dependent - from D to P. Despite being very happy with the S and PL bras I wear, I was very keen to try this new style as a lot of my readers have asked me for my feedback on it. I approached the team at Ewa Michalak and they kindly agreed to send me the FB Tęczowe Bra.

Ewa Michalak S Granatowa Pantera Bra 34L/75L and Thong 20/48

Animal print - what's not to like? Ok, so maybe when someone wears too much of it at once it can go wrong, but when it's done right it can look absolutely amazing.

I've always had a bit of a thing for leopard print lingerie. To me, it's sexy, daring, fun, and naughty. I have long grown out of my red leopard bra from Ewa Michalak, so I was over the moon when out of the blue they sent me their new leopard print S bra: the S Granatowa Pantera.

Ewa Michalak S Kicia Szałowa Bra 34KK/75KK and Thong 20/48

I have written many a review of Ewa Michalak lingerie here on my blog. If you're wondering why, it's simply because this brand is the only one I've found so far that fits my large bust, thanks to Ewa's narrow wires and deep cups. It's pretty lucky that the lingerie is also flipping gorgeous, as well as being fun and quirky. Today I am reviewing a set that fits this description perfectly: the S Kicia Szałowa.

Ewa Michalak PL Słowianki Bra 34KK 75KK

In December, I ordered some bras from Polish lingerie brand Ewa Michalak to make the most of a site-wide discount that was in place. I wanted to get my hands on some PL (plunge) bras, and so I added the PL Słowianki Bra to my basket.

Ewa Michalak SM Czarodziejka Bra 32K/70K

Ewa Michalak has been making the SM bra, which is essentially an unpadded balconette, for over a year now. Some months back I was sent some bras to review and today I will be sharing with you the limited edition SM Czarodziejka Bra (no longer available at Ewa Michalak, but the SM Wróżka is similar):

Evans Pear Ultra Stretch Skinny Jeans 18

The eagle-eyed amongst you will have noticed that I have never before reviewed jeans on my blog. There is a simple reason for that: I don't wear jeans because I can't find any that fit me properly.

Yes, I know I am fussy about fit, but why shouldn't I be? The problem is, finding jeans to fit hips that are 19" bigger than the waist is a pretty tough task. Most jeans are cut to fit a 'typical' woman, and I am a million miles away from fitting into that norm. I understand that.

In the past I have considered ordering custom-made jeans over the internet as I don't think even curve-friendly brands like PZI would work for me, but I never ended up going for it as I was sceptical they'd be worth the money (I would have had to order from abroad). I also don't have a desperate need for jeans - I have a wardrobe full of gorgeous frocks; why on earth would I need jeans?! I admit that I didn't want to feel that awful disappointment when you can't find anything that fits, so for my own pride I never searched too hard and so I eventually lost any desire to own denim. An additional put off was that the fashion for jeans and trousers over the past decade has been for them to be 'hipsters', or at best low rise. Such a terrible look for pears and hourglasses, in my opinion, and something that looked absolutely awful on me. However, over the past few years I have had a number of requests from readers who wanted me to review jeans, so it has always been in the back of my mind to get around to doing so one day.

Little did I know that UK plus size fashion retailer Evans held the key to my jeans dreams: the Evans Pear Ultra Stretch Skinny Jeans (£30.00; UK sizes 14-32, in short (71cm/28"), regular (76cm/30"), and long (81cm/32")lengths):

Bravissimo Lola Luxe Basque in Blackberry 36K and Thong XL

Early last year I bought the Bravissimo Lola Luxe Basque in Black/Teal from a friend and reviewed it on my blog. Although the fit was not completely perfect it's a set I am glad to have as it's very pretty and is perfect for those special bedroom occasions.

Last month I was looking on the Bravissimo website to see if there was anything I could review and my search brought me to the Lola Luxe Basque in Blackberry (was £50.00, now reduced to £40.00; UK sizes 30-38 F-K (limited availability)).

My quest for a sleep bra: Ewa Michalak Nina Top 34KK/75KK

I can't believe it has been two years since I last blogged about my quest to find a sleep bra. If you're not already familiar with my mission, allow me to explain what I'm talking about.

I long for a bra/top that is comfortable enough to wear in bed at night, but that is also supportive enough to wear around the house during the day. When I am at home for the day I usually wear a t-shirt or casual top and pyjama bottoms, and go without a bra. Most times, this is perfectly comfortable for me, but there are instances when I wish I had something soft and supportive to wear to help keep my breasts in check. I have tried a number of options since starting my blog, including sports bras, non-wired bras, and even nursing bras (NB: If you'd like to read my previous reviews they are listed at the end of this post). A few have come close to meeting my requirements but I haven't yet managed to discover the holy grail.

I was therefore super excited when I saw that Polish lingerie brand Ewa Michalak were bringing out their own version of a sleep/house bra: the Nina Top.

Freya Piper Bra and Briefs

A few months ago, I went to Leia Lingerie at Bluewater shopping centre, Kent, for a fitting.  I was met by the lovely manager, Leigh, who assigned fitter Julie to assist me with my lingerie shopping.  I don't think I've ever met a more diligent fitter - Julie was willing to let me try anything I wanted (even if it was unlikely to fit) and even tried to help me fit into a basque.  Sadly, this attempt resulted in extreme failure but Julie's commitment to her role as a fitter was never in doubt during my entire time in store.

I've already posted my reviews of the Freya Ellie and Carys, so now it's time to write about the Freya Piper.

Ewa Michalak CHP Kurczak

I must admit that I have never in my life felt the need to own a yellow bra. When they started appearing in shops and online a few months ago my mind was not changed and although they were eye-catching I still did not have a great desire to have one in my possession.I was recently sent several bras by Ewa Michalak to try out and lo and behold one of these was their own yellow creation: the CHP Kurczak, which means 'Chicken' in Polish.

Ewa Michalak CHP Groszki i Róże

A little while ago, Ewa Michalak brought out a new range of bras in gorgeous Easter colourways. One of these was the CHP Groszki i Róże, which literally translates as 'Peas and Roses' - so cute!

Ewa Michalak CH Karmelki

It's no secret that I love Ewa Michalak bras.  I am fortunate enough to own many of them in various designs and two different styles - PL (plunge) and CH (halfcup).  My PL collection is pretty comprehensive, however I am having to sell some of my older bras and replace with new ones as I am no longer the 36 back I was (or perhaps thought I was??) when I started this blog last autumn.

A couple of months ago I was fitted as a 30K (or perhaps even KK if they made it) in Freya bras.  I have also been wearing Ewa Michalak bras in a 32K, although I have been wondering if a 30 back would be better.

I was really thrilled when I got the chance to try out some of the latest EM designs.  First up is the CH Karmelki.

My quest for a sleep bra: Bravissimo Inspire Sports Bra in Black

For a long time, I have been looking for a sleep bra.  My definition of a sleep bra is one which is comfortable enough to wear in bed (every night if wished) and also around the house during the evenings and at weekends.

So far, I have only tried non-wired bras in my quest.  I have tried soft cup bras, sports bras, maternity bras and even a nursing bra, but nothing yet has quite hit the spot.  I have stumbled every time, with the main reason being that I don't get separation of my breasts in non-wired bras.  This has lead me to wonder if I might be able to find a wired bra which would be comfortable enough to sleep in.

Now, my Ewa Michalak bras are super comfortable.  I wear them each and every day and it's a pleasure to do so.  Rarely do they dig in, rub or give me any kind of pain or discomfort so they would be ideal to wear in bed as well.  But, as I wear them every day, I think it would be unhealthy to wear them at night as well so I am on the lookout for an underwired sleep/house bra, as well as a non-wired one.

A few weeks ago, I tried the Bravissimo Inspire Sports Bra in black.

10 Years of Gorgeous Lingerie at Debenhams

You'd be forgiven for thinking I'm having a bit of a love-in with Debenhams at the moment.  I've featured their swimwear on here and written about how they are now stocking Elomi lingerie in selected stores, all in the past couple of weeks.

Well, if a retailer does good things, we should shout about it, right?  Certainly people are often all too quick to criticise so I think it's crucial to make a big fuss when something good happens.

And Debenhams have a lot to celebrate at the moment, especially with their own brand 'Gorgeous' lingerie celebrating its 10th birthday this year!
