My quest for a sleep bra: Ewa Michalak Nina Top 34KK/75KK

I can't believe it has been two years since I last blogged about my quest to find a sleep bra. If you're not already familiar with my mission, allow me to explain what I'm talking about.

I long for a bra/top that is comfortable enough to wear in bed at night, but that is also supportive enough to wear around the house during the day. When I am at home for the day I usually wear a t-shirt or casual top and pyjama bottoms, and go without a bra. Most times, this is perfectly comfortable for me, but there are instances when I wish I had something soft and supportive to wear to help keep my breasts in check. I have tried a number of options since starting my blog, including sports bras, non-wired bras, and even nursing bras (NB: If you'd like to read my previous reviews they are listed at the end of this post). A few have come close to meeting my requirements but I haven't yet managed to discover the holy grail.

I was therefore super excited when I saw that Polish lingerie brand Ewa Michalak were bringing out their own version of a sleep/house bra: the Nina Top.

Fashion World Legroom 'Wear Two Ways' Boots E Fit

Last month, I was approached by Fashion World to take part in a fabulous bloggers' challenge.  We were asked to pair their fantastic new Legroom 'Wear Two Ways' Boots with some jeans and to show how the boots work with different outfits.

The fab Legroom Wear Two Ways Boots are absolutely ingenious.  They look like regular knee high boots - and pretty fab ones at that as they feature an elasticated back panel to allow for wider calves (like mine!) - but with a quick unzip and unbuckle at the ankle they are converted to on-trend ankle boots!

Still seeking a sleep bra...

A while ago I read that Mariella Frostrup's secret to non-sagging breasts is to wear a bra all the time, even in bed (apparently this was recommended to her by the late Paula Yates).  I know from experience that it's not comfortable wearing an underwired bra to bed and I have long been keeping an eye out for a comfortable but supportive sleep bra.  This search has proved very difficult as most shops do not stock H/HH/J cups as standard.

As you'll know if you've read my previous posts, I recently placed a large lingerie order with Fashion World in the hope that I could find bras for various purposes; one of which being a sleep bra.  Unfortunately most of the bras in the region of my cup size were only available in a 38 back, which I did order but quickly discounted after trying on one (review below).

Shapely Figures Pack of 2 Lace Bras

When putting together the order for my recent haul of undies from Fashion World, I wanted to see if it was possible to buy a decent underwired bra on the cheap.  I therefore chose Shapely Figures Pack of 2 Lace Bras in 36H as they looked pretty and were available in many different colourways.

My previous experience of cheap bras is that they are far too good to be true.  They look great in the catalogue pictures but when you see them for real they are, in the majority of cases, poorly constructed, not true to size and made from substandard materials.  Put side by side with a bra from a renowned manufacturer, such as Freya, they are on two very different planets.

Not the right size for me - Naturally Close Underwired Multiway Bra

I have been wanting a strapless bra for many years.  Actually, a halterneck/multiway bra would be enough; just something that gives me more options with tops and dresses.  I have never worn a halterneck anything and would love to have the choice to be able to do so if I wanted.

These sorts of bras don't come around very frequently in my size so I had all but given up hope...until I spotted one in the latest Fashion World catalogue Naturally Close Underwired Multiway Bra.  Pictured in a gorgeous raspberry red, I read the description eagerly but very quickly gave up as I just knew it wouldn't work for me.
