So as you can see there was a bit of quadraboob going on when I first received this bra but I was advised by my friends to wear it a few times as apparently this bra somehow shapes itself to the wearer's boobs after a while. I did as instructed and sure enough, within two days' wear the quadraboob was gone and I now consider the cup to be a good fit.
The band, however, is another matter. It's definitely too big for me but I am keeping this bra as it was under £10 inc postage on eBay so an utter bargain!
As you can see from the pictures, the cups are fairly full-coverage, but the shape they give me is amazing! I am so used to having wonderfully rounded breasts thanks to my Ewa Michalaks so it makes a lovely change to have pointier, perkier boobs!
The cups of the Dotty Spot are made from a polyester/polyamide/elastane mix, creating a silky soft fabric which has the tiniest amount of give. There is a cute large bow on the centre gore and smaller ones on the section where the straps meet the cups. The straps are smooth and comfortably wide and can be adjusted fully. The band is firm but stretchy and there are three rows of three hooks.
The cups are narrow and deep, which suits my breasts perfectly. The centre gore lies perfectly flat but it is very firmly pushed up against my sternum. I have yet to find this uncomfortable but, where with some bras I don't usually notice the centre gore, on this bra I definitely do the entire time I am wearing it.
The sides do not come up high under my arms at all, which is fantastic news. No digging in of wires under my arms, either. A big hit all round, then!
When the sale started in Bravissimo recently, I decided to try my hand at the Dotty Spot in a smaller band. It turned out the other colourway, Aqua/Red, was the one in the sale so I set about ordering a variety of sizes to see what worked best.

Interestingly, there were no 32 bands available in my cup range so it was a choice between 30s and 34s for me. As I knew the 34 was definitely too big I decided to go for some 30s and see how they fitted.
First of all, I tried the 30J:
As you can see, it's way too small in the cup for me. Quadraboob ahoy! But the shape is still lovely - rounded but with a hint of point.
Next up, I tried the 30JJ:
This fitted very similarly in the cup to the 34HH - which is good as it's a sister size (34HH=32J=30JJ) - but was much snugger and more comfortable in the band. Yes, there is again a little quadraboob but if this bra works in the same way as my 34HH then it will shape to my breasts within a few wears.
Finally, I tried the 30K:
It's not clear in all the pictures here but I found the cups a little too big on this. There were wrinkles on the undersides of the cups and a slight gape in the top section near the straps. If this one would stretch with wear too then it really would not have been long before these 30K cups were too big for me.
So, I settled on the 30JJ, partly because some of my tinted moisturiser had rubbed off on the centre gore so I suspected it would be unreturnable anyway! I am pleased to have it but am not sure how much wear I will get out of it as it's so full-coverage for the sorts of clothes I wear. However, I can't deny that the pointiness is exciting and looks pretty amazing!
I tried the 30JJ on underneath a very fitted basic vest top to show what it could look like under clothes:
What a super shape! I am not sure I am brave enough to wear this bra outside the house yet as I think I might get too many stares but for now my 34HH and 30JJ Dotty Spots are firm favourites for house wear.
