BiuBiu's sizes are based on your usual high street size, represented by the number, and then your bustiness rating (B, BB, BBB). You can read more about their sizing system here. I was sent the Vienna dress in size 42 BB/BBB, which is the version of the dress with a bit more boob room.
I love it! For reference, I am wearing my Ewa Michalak PL Cappuccino 30L/65L bra under this dress.
The dress is made from a polyester/elastane mix (quantities not specified) but it feels rather like a ponte-type fabric so it's lovely and thick. Its stretch gives a great fit, enabling the dress to fit well at the right places and to hold its shape really well. The quality of the fabric is terrific and it'll serve me very well as the weather continues to get cooler as we head into autumn and towards winter.
I absolutely love the contrast of the two colours. I don't know if the dress I received is a different version to the stock photo I've taken from the BiuBiu site but my dress is navy with a purple/pink feature lower skirt section and matching belt (more on that later). The one on the website seems to have more of a fuchsia lower section, which is very pretty, too.
The Vienna has long sleeves, which are another factor that makes this dress perfect for winter. The sleeves are quite slim-fitting, which is good as they offer a bit of support for wobbly arms and don't add extra bulk.
The skirt is a-line so it has a bit of flare. I find it to be a fun and flattering shape that's really feminine and ideal for work.
Lengthwise the Vienna is perfect for me. I am around 5'4 and it covers my knees nicely. It looks great with flats, knee high boots or even killer heels as I am wearing here. I was worried about wearing non navy tights and heels as I wondered if it might look odd to introduce a third colour but in fact I think black works very well to complete this outfit.
The thing that has impressed me most with the Vienna dress is that the overall fit, and in particular the boob room, is superb. This dress fits my boobs, back and waist perfectly - it's amazing! There is plenty of fabric for my breasts and they don't feel restricted or compressed by being covered. As you can see from my photos, the top does not show any cleavage at all so it is very modest, making it ideal for work or for any occasion when it would not be appropriate to have uncovered boobage.
I mentioned earlier that this dress comes with a belt; it certainly does and it looks like this...
As you can see, the belt is the same colour as the purple/pink lower section of the dress and in theory it should be a great addition. However, I found the belt several inches too big and so it looks like this:
It's such a shame as I think it's a great idea but I do think the dress looks great without it. The main issue is that the belt is not adjustable so it will need to be manually shortened by sewing if I want to wear it. This is less than straightforward because of the loops but I suspect I can unstitch the buttons, turn that end of the belt inwards and stitch it closed, and then reattach the buttons. I shall certainly be giving it a try!
A downside of not wearing the belt is that it shows how the waist seam is in the wrong place on me. It's about an inch too high and I can only assume this is because my boobs take up a lot of room! I don't think it's a big deal but it is something I notice when I look at the dress in the mirror and I can also feel it when on.
The Vienna dress is a huge hit with me and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a boob friendly dress that is suitable for occasions when cleavage ought not to be on show.
