Having never been to an Evans event before I was excited to meet their PR team and see what the collection was like.
The event was held in the press room of Arcadia's London office - a lovely venue which not only had Evans Clements Ribeiro items on display but also a few from Wallis, Dorothy Perkins and Miss Selfridge as well.
We were invited to take our time looking through the collection and of course take photos. My camera is not the best so my photos did not turn out too well. Instead, here are the stock photos of some of the things which caught my eye:
The Colour Block Doris Dress (£65) is gorgeous - right up my street! It's shown on the Evans website with a blue waistband and burgundy neckline so I guess the design changed a little since this official picture was released. I love how the waist is highlighted and the body and skirt are fitted - all of which are so flattering on an hourglass figure.
The Lace Grace Dress (£95) is a sexy number, perfect for all those Christmas parties. It is styled on the Evans website with an amazing-looking belt, which is not yet available but I daresay it will sell out within moments when it is!
The Peplum Debra Dress (£75) is a classic - perfect for work and play. I love how it has been styled in this photo with a corset-like belt, which nips the dress in at the waist and makes it look even more feminine. The Pansy Print Betty Dress (£75) is such a beautiful print and again the belt completes the look.
There were many other items on display but these were the ones I was most keen on. My favourite is definitely the Colour Block Dress as it is so practical.
Some of the items in the Swan by Clements Ribeiro collection are not my style or to my taste but what impresses me is that there is a fairly wide range of items so everyone should be able to find something that works for them. I also love the opulent and luxurious fabrics that have been used - lace, satin, beading, angora - which add to the high-end feel of this collection.
The Swan by Clements Ribeiro Autumn 2012 collection is available on the Evans website now. Which item is your favourite?
