I reviewed the first S bra, the S Wiśniówka, back in June this year and although I loved the shape and support it gave me, the 32K was too small and frustratingly the 32KK was a smidge too big! I also found that the cups gave almost full coverage, which is not what I was after at all. That said, it turns out that the S Wiśniówka 32KK is a bra I have ended up wearing a lot, especially under higher neckline clothing.
I was recently given the opportunity to try some of Ewa Michalak's latest bra designs and today I am going to share with you my review of the S Porcelanka.

This lovely beige coloured bra can work as a 'nude' on a number of skintones and you can see from the stock photo here that the uplift and 'pulled forward' shape is very much in evidence.
As my previous EMs in 30L/65L had come up rather tight in the band, this time I opted for a 32KK/70KK.

I was in love. Look at that shape! Check out the uplift! And what about that cleavage? The central gore is so low that I initially mistook this for a PL (plunge) bra, but it is indeed an S. It seems since my first try with the S bra the design has been reworked and it now does wonders for my boobs. Gone is the gaping/empty space at the tops of the cups, and instead I get the rounded, uplifted and centred look that was previously only available to those with a smaller bust. I applaud Ewa Michalak for adjusting the design in order to provide a better fit and I am delighted that I now have more bra options.
The colour of the Porcelanka is described as 'cocoa beige' on the EM website. I'd agree with this, and it reminds me of the milky hot chocolate my granny used to make me on the stove in a saucepan when I was a girl. The cups are edged with pretty beige floral lace and there is a beige ribbon bow on the central gore with a diamante bow beneath to add a bit of sparkle.
The lightly foam padded four part cups are wonderfully deep and are placed close together on the band. They offer less coverage than the S Wiśniówka, so I get a decent cleavage but my boobs stay in place throughout the day. I admit that the cups give more coverage than I'd ideally like, but for me the main thing is that they are not so tall at the point where they meet the straps, meaning that the dreaded gaping is eradicated. This bra won't be suitable for some of my outfits but it's nice to be able to choose between PL bras and S bras more often now.
I found this bra incredibly comfortable to wear. The 32/70 band is a great fit and it feels perfect on the loosest hooks. The band fastens with three hooks and eyes and there are four rows of eyes, so with the bra fitting me well on the loosest hooks it looks like I'll get plenty of wear from it as I can move up a set of eyes as the band inevitably loosens with wear.
On the EM website, it states that this bra does not have removable pads to help correct asymmetry. However, my one does, so I am not sure if this is another design change or if the pads were added specially on this one. Personally I don't feel the need to use the pads for asymmetry but I do like them as they give a bit of extra lift and support in the bottom of the cups, so they will be staying in place, except perhaps at a certain 'time of the month', when I will remove them in order to get some much needed extra space in my bras.
The straps are only half adjustable and have a stretchy elasticated top half. Now, these straps are great for the initial few wears and incredibly comfortable, but I know after that they will go bad on me and I will have to find a way of replacing them. I already have them fully adjusted so the elastic in the front half will stretch out and make the straps too long, meaning I will have to remove them and put different ones on. A good aspect about the straps, however, is that they attach to the band at the back with circular rings, so there's no chance of them digging in or sliding round the wrong way. Hurrah!
The famously narrow EM wires fit me perfectly, encasing my breast tissue and keeping my boobs where they are most happy - at the front of my body! The central gore lies flat, too, so the fit is really great. And the wires don't come up too high under my arms and certainly do not poke me.
When I received my delivery of five new EM bras last week, it was the S Porcelanka that I chose to wear first of all. There was something about the look and fit of this bra that made me want to wear it all the time, and having worn it all day I am pleased to confirm that it was just as comfortable at the end of the day as it was when I put it on in the morning.
The S Porcelanka has been around for a while now but do give it a try if you haven't done so already - it's a really lovely bra that I am sure you will find as practical and comfortable as I do.
