A few weeks ago, I came across this gem from Roman Originals:

It's a lovely dark navy blue dress with large white polka dots. And the fabric is stretchy - perfect! I managed to get my hands on a size 12 dress and here are the results...
It's such a great dress! The stretchy fabric does not cause the polka dots to become misshapen, thank goodness, but instead the dress follows my curves flatteringly and shows my curvy figure off well.
There is a wrapover section at the bust and as you can see the size 12 covers my modesty adequately, whilst still showing a bit of cleavage. However, if I was wearing this dress for work I think I would add a vest underneath just to make sure I didn't reveal anything unintentionally!!
The dress is pulled in at the waist by the waistband, although for that extra cinching effect I could add a belt. It'd have to be navy or white, of course, which might be tricky to find but it would certainly be worth the trouble.
I love the 3/4 length sleeves, particularly as we head into autumn and winter.
The dress comes down to my knee, which is a great length on me. The skirt flares out a little and is not fitted like many of my other dresses so it makes a nice change.
I think this dress would be perfect to be smartened up for a wedding, or jazzed up for a night out. It would also be appropriate for work but I think it is too nice for that!
Do you like polka dots?
